Attendance
:
Because Summer School requires intensive content instruction in a relatively short period of time, consistent class attendance in required. High school students will be dropped from their class if they miss more than 5 instructional hours per session.  THIS INCLUDES TARDIES. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. See application for more detailed information on attendance requirements.

Transportation:
With the exception of some students enrolled in the Special Education Extended Year Program (ESY), transportation will NOT be provided. ESY students will receive additional information from the Student Services Department.

AAA Academy
Due to the financial crisis at the State level, YCJUSD will be offering limited advancement  opportunities.  An alternative for students who wish to get ahead in high school level courses is the AAA Academy which is an affiliate of the Redlands Educational Partnership Foundation and is not affiliated with YCJUSD. All questions should be directed to their web site (www.aaa-academy.com) or by calling (909) 748-6909. AAA offers tuition-based educational enhancement opportunities ($225 per semester course) for high school students in the greater Inland Empire Community. They are basing their program at Redlands High School in Redlands, CA. Registration and payment can be completed online.  Students must provide their own transportation. AAA suggests that Yucaipa-Calimesa students meet with their counselor prior to enrolling in a course.  Please be aware that students' will need to request and pay $15 for an official transcript to be sent to YHS.
